Haute Couture
Prêt-a-Porter
Yves Saint Laurent founded Prêt à Porter in the sixties. The catwalk collections were “ready to wear”, which means they were cut in ready-to-wear sizes, also for mass production. The collections for the fashion shows of Rosemarie Amacher’s label à ma chère are not mass-produced; instead they are very individual, they are haute couture. Because “our couture is not fast” but slow fashion.
We design unique pieces, which are tailored to meet the customer’s needs. After all, the highest quality is cheaper and more sustainable in the long run. And above all, it gives pleasure for longer unlike the mass-produced goods.
